FAQs
Unfortunately, I am not able to offer psychotherapy services in-person at this time. All current individual, couples and group therapy services are conducted with a HIPAA compliant telehealth or “video” platform. Consulting and advisory services can be done in-person and over telehealth throughout California.

At this time, I am an in-network provider for Aetna insurance. For all other insurances, I am an out-of-network provider. Check in with your insurance company if you are eligible to be reimbursed for psychotherapy services. I am able to provide a receipt of services, known as a “superbill” for your reimbursement claim. Clinical psychologist generally do not have authorization to prescribe any medications like psychiatrists with a medical degree. For some patients, psychotherapy and medication together can be the most helpful approach. I can support you in looking for a medication management provider. I am happy to collaborate with them to support a more integrated care approach, once a release of information form has been completed.

Once you contact me, we will schedule a free consultation session (15-20 minutes) to explore your reason for seeking therapy services, to discuss your goals and answer any questions you might have. If it feels like a good initial fit, we can schedule an initial intake session to continue to assess therapeutic fit.

There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. Scheduling a therapy appointment reserves that time specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please do so as early as possible. Should you need to cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment, you will be responsible for the full session fee.

The length of therapy varies and depends on your unique goals, personal circumstances, and the complexity of your current concerns. I believe that effective therapy can be conducted in a time-limited manner using evidence-based treatment approaches.
My goal is to support you in learning practical coping tools to help you navigate your mental health and wellness challenges. In general, therapy focused on adjustment-related stress and anxiety related to cancer or other chronic health conditions typically ranges from 8–22 sessions. More complex concerns may require additional sessions.
I generally recommend committing to weekly or bi-weekly sessions initially to support meaningful and lasting change. Over time, many patients transition to monthly follow-ups or occasional “booster” sessions to help maintain progress.
