Psycho-oncology

Psycho-oncology is a specialized field in cancer care that addresses the psychological, emotional, behavioral and social impact of cancer on patients, families, and caregivers. I specialize in supporting individuals and families navigating the emotional and psychological impact of cancer across the continuum of care—from diagnosis and active treatment to survivorship and end-of-life concerns. My work focuses on helping patients cope with uncertainty, distress, treatment-related side effects, changes in identity, and existential concerns, while fostering resilience, meaning, and quality of life. Care is tailored, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based approaches.

My services extend to caregivers, partners, and family members of a loved one navigating the challenges of cancer.

Health Psychology

I specialize in supporting individuals coping with medical conditions, chronic illness, and health-related challenges across the lifespan, including young adults navigating illness during critical developmental stages. My work addresses depression, anxiety, medical trauma and stress related to diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care.

I have experience working with chronic pain, sleep difficulties, and insomnia, navigating complex medical decision-making, tobacco cessation, disordered eating behaviors, those who struggle to make healthy behavioral changes in lifestyle and wellness, navigating and coping with uncertainty, identity changes since health onset, loss of purpose and meaning, and caregiver stress.

My services extend to caregivers, partners, and family members of a loved one navigating health changes.

Traumatic Stress

I provide specialized, trauma-informed care for individuals affected by a wide range of traumatic experiences, including childhood trauma and neglect, complex PTSD, military-related trauma, race-based trauma, and medical trauma. My work is grounded in an understanding of how trauma impacts emotional regulation, relationships, identity, and the nervous system over time, as well as how these experiences can influence physical health, chronic illness, and disease processes.

Treatment is collaborative and paced to promote safety and stability, using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Therapy focuses on reducing trauma-related symptoms, strengthening coping and regulation skills, and supporting long-term healing, resilience, and self-compassion.

Women’s Health

I specialize in supporting women through the psychological and emotional challenges that arise across the lifespan, including experiences of trauma, identity transitions, motherhood, postpartum concerns, menopause, aging, and health-related changes. My work recognizes the complex interplay between psychological well-being, physical health, and the social and cultural contexts that shape women’s experiences.

Treatment is individualized and grounded in evidence-based therapies, with care delivered through a culturally sensitive and affirming lens. Therapy focuses on helping women navigate transitions, reduce distress, strengthen resilience, and cultivate a sense of meaning, agency, and well-being during periods of change.
